How I do my job
When I decided to be a life insurance agent, I had to make a decision on how I was going to do my job. Some people might not think about things like this, but the insurance business is like many business with a service and a profit aspect to it. Each and every day I get literally hundreds of solicitations from insurance companies either telling me what their products will do for my client (service) or what they can do for me (profit).
I could have chosen to become a captive agent. Their commissions are 2-3 times what the same insurance carrier pays an independent agent. But the idea of being required to pad policies with pricey and unjustified riders seemed contrary to the relationship I wanted with my clients.
Instead I chose to be an independent producer. It allows me to concentrate on the needs of my clients and never worry about a quota. My job is to my clients, so much so that out of the 50+ insurance carriers I do business with, I don't know how much any of them pay me.
My bills seem to get paid every month and my clients love the service, they are always telling their friends about me.
Call me and let me go to work for you.
